MoD Design Magazine is an online design publication for the general public, focusing on three main fields: design, architecture, and lifestyle. The magazine offers a rich variety of articles, images, interviews, and captivating stories from history to the present day. Here, readers can explore diverse aspects of both the global and Vietnamese design worlds. It also serves as a platform for the academic community to engage with the public through in-depth essays and critical reviews, highlighting the connection between design and life, and inviting the public to join multi-dimensional discussions within the Design Magazine.
Readers, including designers are encouraged to become active contributors by submitting their design projects or design stories to our editorial team. With the mission of becoming another vital bridge of the Museum of Design, MoD Design Magazine aims to spread the value and influence of design to everyone. We are always ready to hear your design story or project and share it on MoD Design Magazine. Please send your content to info@museumofdesign.vn with the subject line [DESIGN STORY], and read the FAQ below to ensure you provide the information we need in the format we require. While we have no strict selection criteria for design stories or projects, we are always seeking fresh, creative, newsworthy content with a compelling story and stunning visuals. We receive many submissions and cannot respond to all, but we make every effort to review everything.
How to submit a design story or project?
Just email us some images, jpeg files in quality (at least 3000 pixels on the shortest side), some text about the story and the project, short descriptive notes attached to the images if any. If you need to send compressed images or links to file sharing websites, please send a few sample images in your email so we can get a basic idea of your project. Please do not cut down the number of images – the more the better.
What happens after submission?
If we like the story and images of the project, we will contact you. It may take us some time to get back to you, but usually no more than 10 days. You may send us a gentle reminder as we are only human and sometimes we may have accidentally overlooked your effort. We will add you to our list of collaborators, contributors (the list of people who have submitted projects to us or have been published). Therefore, from time to time you will receive a few emails from us about some information from MoD Magazine or Museum of Design that we think may interest you. If you do not wish to receive these emails, you may unsubscribe at any time.
We always prefer exclusivity in content!
We are more likely to publish your stories and projects if you want to give us exclusive content. If you provide us with an exclusive story or project, please state this clearly in your submission email.
We also love films!
If you have a video related to your project, send it! We usually upload submitted videos to our own channels (especially YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram) instead of embedding or reposting from other accounts.
We also love floor plans, drawings, and sketches!
Floor plans, sections, and sketches are very popular with our readers, so please include them if you can.
We want to credit everyone involved!
Send us technical information about the story and project! Especially for the images. We rarely can pay for photography but we are happy to provide copyright information, links, and full credit details when needed. Many photographers are willing to provide us with free images because being published on MoD Magazine is a great way to promote their work and often leads to other job opportunities. Please note you MUST ensure you have the copyright owner’s permission for all materials you submit.
Share, share, share!
Once we’ve published your project, please share it widely on social media, newsletters, your website, etc. This will help your project get more traffic and attention. Don’t be shy!
Join in the comments section
We hope people will comment on your project in our comments section. Hopefully, the comments will be intelligent, humorous, and constructive. Even if not, it’s still good to engage by responding and interacting naturally with our audience. As long as it does not go against ethics and humanity.
Thank you again for submitting content to MoD Magazine
