Introduction

Tad.atelier, founded in 2016 by architect Vũ Tiến An in Ho Chi Minh City, approaches design practice as a research-driven process. The studio focuses on seeking solutions grounded in the context and specific needs of each project. Tad.atelier views architecture not merely as a physical product but as an ecosystem, where humans and the environment coexist symbiotically, capable of adapting and evolving over time.

Practice Perspective

Tad.atelier’s practice is grounded in a respect for the spirit of place, seeking context-specific approaches for each project and maintaining ongoing dialogue with users. Through this process, every project becomes a unique entity, designed to provide sustainable solutions while reflecting local lifestyles.

Design Approach

Inspired by the multifaceted form of a dice, the Ghế Nghị Lực is designed with a balanced geometric structure featuring three points of contact with the floor. This design allows users to change their seating posture by rotating or “rolling” the chair. Each rotation creates a different position, enabling users to experience multiple seating angles and adapt to varying needs. The tetrahedral structure ensures stability while maintaining flexibility, making it suitable for diverse spaces. The design transforms the chair into a multi-directional seating surface, encouraging users to shift positions and perspectives during use.
