
The Design School for Children is a special educational program of the Museum of Design (MoD), dedicated to elementary and middle school students. Its goal is to transform the children’s museum visit into an experience that is not only fun and entertaining but also educational and engagingāeven for their families. The program brings children closer to the boundless world of design through activities tied to the themes of current exhibitions.
The educational approach of the Design School for Children aims to teach young learners the basic principles of design and to show them how design can create meaningful relationships between objects and people.
Activities are organized around workshops where craft techniques are introduced and practiced in applied form, followed by the opportunity to participate in guided tours of exhibitions and permanent collections within MoDās extended network.
The team of guidesātrained collaborators of MoDāworks alongside designers and architects with experience in education, because children are the true center of this experience, as well as of MoD itself.
The Design School for Children will be held in two time slots:
⢠Weekday mornings will be reserved for elementary and middle schools
⢠Saturdays and Sundays will be dedicated to families (advance booking required)
